Meet Marnie: Boldly going where no pup has been before…
When we asked Marnie’s mum’s owner what she was like as a very little puppy, she said “Definitely the boldest of the three in her litter.” When we asked her volunteer puppy socialisers how they’d describe her, they said “She really has a very bold character.”
So, everyone’s in agreement: she’s bold!
She’s certainly a plucky little girl. She seems to have no fear. From sleeping soundly throughout her first night with her volunteer socialisers, to running around in their garden, she knows no bounds – literally, as people chase after her to keep her out, or keep her in!
You see, she just won’t stay still. We had quite a fun time trying to get her to stop running around during the photoshoot. These are really the only shots we could use. Even in the photos where she’s still, she’s thinking about running off!
She’s full of life, a real pocket rocket, boldly going where no pup has been before. We love her for it – and one day, when she helps a deaf person regain their confidence and reconnect with life, they will love her for it too.
Training progress: Go for it
Marnie’s character is really helping with her training. She’s so inquisitive, it all just goes ‘in’. This is what we imagine goes through her head: ‘What’s that? You want me to sit? OK, done, what’s next? How about waiting? Well, if you must… right, done. Next!’ And then, when the training stops, and she’s run around lots, she’ll just fall asleep in your arms, recharging her batteries for more fun times in training…
Will Marnie ever learn there’s a midway point between ‘stop’ and ‘go’? Will she continue to be bold and inquisitive? How quickly will she learn to become an amazing hearing dog? Sponsor Marnie today and find out!
